Luc Burgerois

Luc Bourgeois serves as the Regulatory Science Country Representative at Bayer CropScience Canada, bringing three decades of expertise in field solutions, agronomy, and regulatory roles.

Based in Ottawa, Luc creates strong compliance and stewardship frameworks that ensure teams adhere to both Bayer standards and Canadian regulations. He has directed cross-functional efforts in incident management, digital tool integration, and product launch preparations. Luc also contributed to the development of several Bayer seed treatment products and led the scientific response for PMRA’s neonicotinoid re-evaluation consultation.

He is currently focused on streamlining labels and seed tags without compromising user safety or stewardship. Luc earned his PhD in Weed Science and MSc in Agronomy from the University of Manitoba, along with an agricultural engineering degree from Institut Superieur D’Agriculture Rhone-Alpes in France. Known for integrity and leadership, Luc is committed to promoting sustainable agriculture with science-driven innovation and effective communication.
