Juan Pablo Higuera

Thirty years of practice and experience in rural development, international agribusiness, and technology transfer and commercialization in the agro-industrial sector. Founder and President of the Canadian company Cannexion Corporation, which specializes in facilitating commercial and technological exchanges between Canada and Latin America. President of Colombia’s Agricultural Production Sectoral Board of the National Learning Service, SENA. Founder of the Agro-Industrial Committee of the Colombian-Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Bogotá. Vice-President and founder of the Association of Agronomists and Agricultural Engineers of Eastern Antioquia, AGRINTEA.

For ten years, he worked as a researcher and coordinated the technology transfer and commercialization program at the Colombian Corporation for Agricultural Research, AGROSAVIA. He is an Agronomist from the National University of Colombia, Medellín Campus. He pursued master’s studies in rural development at the National University of Costa Rica and holds a specialization in rural development and agricultural extension from Spain’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
