Geneviève Parent

Geneviève Parent is a Professor at the Faculty of Law of Université Laval and holds the Research Chair in Law on Food Diversity and Security. She is also an associate member of the French Academy of Agriculture and a part-time member of the Canada Agricultural Review Tribunal. Her research focuses on national and international legal instruments aimed at ensuring agricultural and food diversity.

She is particularly interested in analyzing the impacts of international economic law on Canadian and Quebec agri-food legislation, as well as in seeking greater coherence between the various spheres of law affecting sustainable food security. As a committed professor, she actively contributes to discussions on these issues, both in Quebec and internationally.
