Edwin Botero

Edwin Botero is President of SuKarne USA (Viz Cattle Corporation), the U.S. subsidiary of SuKarne, Mexico’s largest beef exporter. Since 2013 he has led the growth of SuKarne’s U.S. business, which today accounts for roughly three-quarters of the company’s exports, nearly $1 billion annually. Mr. Botero joined Viz Cattle in 2011 as Vice President of Business Development and was promoted to President in 2013. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Meat Institute and of the Foundation for Meat & Poultry Research & Education. Prior to joining SuKarne, Mr. Botero served 13 years as VP of Beef and Pork Exports to Latin America, starting with ConAgra in 1998 and continuing with JBS until 2011. Before entering the meat business, he held senior roles in other international commodity businesses, including 11 years in coffee and 2 in spices.
