Jorge Esteve Recolons is a seasoned Mexican business executive and agribusiness leader, currently serving as President of the National Agricultural Council (Consejo Nacional Agropecuario, CNA) for the 2025–2027 term. He assumed this role in February 2025, succeeding Juan Cortina Gallardo, bringing over 30 years of experience within the CNA, including positions as Vice President of Finance and Secretary.
Esteve Recolons is the CEO of Agroindustrias Unidas de México, a subsidiary of ECOM Agroindustrial, a global leader in the trading of agricultural commodities such as coffee, cocoa, and cotton. He also serves as President of Grupo COPRI, a Mexican real estate and infrastructure development firm. Previously, he held key executive roles at HSBC Latin America and the Caribbean, including CEO of Insurance, Pensions, and Investments, and founded the bank’s Corporate Sustainability department in Mexico.
An advocate for sustainable agriculture, Esteve Recolons emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and the expansion of international markets. Under his leadership, the CNA aims to enhance Mexico’s agricultural competitiveness, promote food security, and strengthen the country's role as a key supplier to global markets, particularly the United States.
He holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Anáhuac and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
