Germán Serrano Basto is a Colombian veterinary physician specializing in management, with extensive expertise in public policy formulation for the bovine livestock sector. He serves as the Technical Secretary of the National Sustainable Livestock Roundtable of Colombia (MGS-Col), a public-private alliance led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. In this role, he coordinates national and regional efforts to promote sustainable livestock practices, aiming to enhance productivity while minimizing environmental impacts. Serrano Basto is also a university lecturer in animal production sciences and an international consultant on livestock-related issues.
