With over 20 years of international experience in research, sustainability, and innovation, she has led transformative initiatives to strengthen Canada’s bioeconomy. Her career spans senior roles at Cereals Canada, Cargill Malt, and Mars UK, and she holds a PhD in Food Science from the University of Minnesota. Karen is a frequent speaker on sustainability and innovation and has served on several national boards, including Protein Industries Canada and the Agri-Food Innovation Council.
