President & CEO

Kallie Wood is the President and CEO of the National Circle for Indigenous Agriculture and Food (NCIAF) and a proud member of the Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation, located on Treaty Four Territory in Saskatchewan. With over 35 years of leadership experience, she has held roles in organizational change, strategic planning, and program delivery, with a strong emphasis on relationship building, reconciliation, and education. Previously, she served as the Senior Indigenous Advisor for the Ministry of Agriculture in Saskatchewan.​

Kallie holds a Master of Leadership and Management Studies degree and is a mother of four and grandmother to four grandchildren. As a foster parent, she has opened her home to many children who affectionately call her "mom." Her deep connection to the land and commitment to daily gratitude reflect her grounding in Indigenous traditions.​

At NCIAF, Kallie leads initiatives that support First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples in sustainable agriculture and food opportunities. By fostering partnerships across the agriculture industry, government, and academia, she works to advance food security, food sovereignty, and economic growth for Indigenous communities. Her efforts have been recognized internationally; in 2023, she was named one of the twenty-two most empowered and influential women globally. Kallie is a sought-after keynote speaker and advisor on Indigenous issues, known for her ability to inspire and drive transformational change through the sharing of Indigenous histories, stories, and ways of knowing.
