Josiane Garneau

Ms. Josiane Garneau is the Director of Food Processing and Product Business Development at Quebec’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ). With a background combining economic development and regulatory expertise, she has spent several years supporting agri-food businesses in their growth and innovation initiatives. Her experience also encompasses food safety, animal welfare, and regulatory oversight, giving her an integrated perspective on the challenges facing businesses in the sector. Holding a master’s degree in microbiology and an MBA from Université Laval, she draws on a combination of scientific expertise, management skills, and strategic thinking to contribute to the development and competitiveness of Quebec’s agri-food sector.
